This hour long webinar is the third and final in a three part series on healthcare reform.  In this webinar the leader will discuss the major forces that continue to drive healthcare spending up in the USA.  The leader will discuss Clinical Integration, the Accountable Care Organization, and Bundled payments as interventions being implemented in order to reduce the rate of spending.  How all of these changes are impacting the Surgical Services area will be discussed.

Judy Pins
 

Ms. Pins has an extensive background in perioperative nursing.  She began her career in Iowa as a surgical staff nurse, and eventually worked her way into the role of OR Director. 

In 1988 she accepted a position with Baxter Healthcare as a Clinical Consultant. Over the next twenty years, she worked in the healthcare industry for Baxter, Allegiance, and Cardinal Health in a variety of roles, including VP/General Manager Consulting, where she was responsible for providing leadership direction and managing 300 healthcare consultants. In this role Ms. Pins was involved with various initiatives with a cross section of US hospitals to improve the quality of healthcare by making it safer and and more efficient. Pins has also held senior positions with Industry in both Sales and Marketing.

She holds an undergraduate degree in Nursing and graduate degrees in Human Resources and Business. She currently serves as Vice Chairperson, Board of Directors at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, IL.
