Lisa Gualtieri, Ph.D., SCM, is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine in the Department of Public Health and Community Medicine, where she is the director of the Digital Health Communication certificate program. She teaches digital strategies for health communication and social media and health for the certificate program.

Dr. Gualtieri’s research focuses on the use of wearable activity trackers for older adults with chronic medical conditions, racial/ethnic minorities, and veterans. She is the founder of RecycleHealth, which collects unused wearable activity trackers and donates them to underserved populations. She serves on the FDA’s General Hospital and Personal Use Devices Panel. Dr. Gualtierhas a Ph.D. in computer science from Harvard University, an SCM in computer science from Brown University and a BA in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts.
