Meeting Description:
We invited GlobalGiving's Alison Carlman to share tips and key lessons she's learned in donor communications. In her role as Senior Unmarketing Manager, Alison is responsible for telling the story of GlobalGiving and for helping the organization understand its social impact. In 2013, Alison and her team raised $270,000 from donor emails.
In this webinar she'll share the secret to GlobalGiving's successes to date. (Spoiler alert: it looks a little something like this: Listen, Act, Learn. Repeat.)
Join us if you're interested in learning how you can apply best practices from peers and experts to see what works for your audience.
Please contact with accessibility requests for live captioning at least 72 hours prior to the event.

In her role as Senior Unmarketing Manager, Alison is responsible for telling GlobalGiving's story and helping the organization understand its social impact. A Colorado native, she studied communication (and took a surfing class for PE credit) at Pepperdine University in California. Alison began her career in nonprofit communications at the Denver Art Museum. She currently lives in Washington, DC, but spends time dreaming of her former home in South Africa's Western Cape. While living and studying in South Africa she worked Médecins Sans Frontières, the Thembalitsha Foundation, and Keystone Accountability. She served as a Kiva Fellow in Kenya in 2009. Alison earned her master's in community & development along with a postgraduate diploma in monitoring and evaluation from South Africa's Stellenbosch University. Follow her on twitter @acarlman for cute baby videos and musings on nonprofits and social media, maternal health, and storytelling in international development.
