Ashley Herad

Ashley provides policy training and technical assistance throughout the state to nonprofits seeking to influence public policy, and works to build community coalitions around vital policy issues. She also advocates on behalf of the nonprofit sector during the legislative session.

Previously Herad served as an intern for the Bureau of Governmental Research in New Orleans, then as a press aid and researcher in the Louisiana Governors’ Office. She has participated in national advocacy trainings with Neighborworks, the National Low Income Housing Coalition, and the Center for Lobbying and the Public Interest.

Herad holds a master's degree in Public Administration from the State University of New York at Binghamton and a bachelor’s in Anthropology from Louisiana State University.
