The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Small Business Majority invite you to join us for a free webinar to help you navigate the funding landscape and finance the growth of your small business. We will focus on microloans, crowdfunding, online lenders and guarding against predatory lending. Growing your business also means securing your finances, so we will provide an overview of common retirement paths for small business owners and their employees.

Michaela Hahn Burriss - Ohio Outreach Manager, Small Business Majority

 As the Ohio Outreach Manager, Michaela Hahn Burriss is responsible for statewide policy efforts and educating small business owners on issues impacting the small business community. Michaela also coordinates events and serves as a liaison to small business leaders about clean energy issues, healthcare and more. 

Before joining Small Business Majority, Michaela worked in a legal capacity for both the Ohio Senate Minority Caucus' Legal Counsel and the Columbus City Attorney's Office. She also worked in the United States Senate. Michaela is an attorney, a fellow for the Ohio State Bar Foundation, a member of the Columbus Bar Association’s Barrister Leadership Program, and a Certified Tourism Ambassador for the City of Columbus.

Beginning April 2013, Glenn joined SBA to manage eight counties in Southwest Ohio,  promoting the growth of small businesses through the use of SBA programs and offerings. Glenn works closely with bankers to encourage the utilization of these programs and with small businesses to show them the benefits of using these programs. 

Prior to joining the SBA, Glenn was Manager of SBA Lending at First Financial Bank for eight years. In 2012, Glenn facilitated more than 100 SBA loans totaling $40 million. Before joining First Financial Bank, Glenn had fifteen years of SBA lending experience, including five years as president of a local certified development company. Glenn managed the City of Cincinnati’s Small Business Loan Fund for five years and was also a partner in a small manufacturing business in Cincinnati. He was also a banker in Cincinnati, Columbus, and Chicago for more than 20 years before that. Glenn holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan and is an Army veteran.
