Joined Rackspace in February 2012 in the areas of Cloud storage & Cloud databases.  Prior to Rackspace he came from Microsoft in the SharePoint and Office product management & engineering groups from 2006 to 2012.  Before Microsoft, he was with BMC Software in its Corporate Development and Strategy group driving M&A initiatives in the areas of BSM and Application and Database Performance Management. Prior to BMC he led software engineering and architecture groups for eCommerce at Compaq.

Kelly Goolsby, Sales Engineering Manager

Has been at Rackspace since 2003 holding a variety of different technical roles at the company.   Kelly currently works as the Sales Engineering Manager, helping his team translate customers’ technical requirements into Rackspace solutions. Previously he managed the technical sales representatives where he developed a deep understanding of Rackspace products.   Having been a chemistry major for a time in college Kelly still reads the occasional chemistry research paper and understands about half of it.

Focuses on cloud platform services having a passion for building great software services &  is excited about the new cloud products under development at Rackspace. Daniel started his career working in software development before Cloud became "cool", contributing to the testing, design, development, and management of IBM's WebSphere Application Server. He received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Masters in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin. When not battling the Texas heat, Daniel enjoys running, traveling, and sneaking away to Colorado to snowboard.

A Forbe's 30 under 30 in Technology for 2011 and 2012, Dave moved to the Bay Area two years ago where he joined Y Combinator and pursued his startup idea of giving a face to data. During and after school Dave was at IBM for 2 years where he worked on the processor for the Xbox 360 and filed 10 patents. In school he studied Physics, two other undergrads and finished with a masters degree in Electrical Engineering.
