Ian Michiels, Research Director, Aberdeen

Michiels is charged with the oversight and management of Aberdeen's fast-growing Customer Management research group with a focus on CRM, sales/marketing automation, marketing strategy, and emerging marketing technologies and practices. Michiels personal research covers marketing automation, demand generation, marketing strategy, and digital marketing.  Michiels has a diverse background in creative and analytical marketing.


His professional experience includes Fortune 500 companies such as Compaq, HP, Applied Materials, and Hyperion Solutions. Michiels holds an MBA from Santa Clara University with concentrations in Marketing Management, Entrepreneurship, eCommerce, Leading People and Organizations, and Managing Innovation.

Darren Guarnaccia, VP Product Marketing, Sitecore

Darren is broad technologist with a deep understanding of the Web CMS marketplace. Early in his career he served as Director of Technology for a large financial organization. He subsequently ran e-Commerce operations for a large regional Consulting organization, building sizeable e-Commerce and CMS solutions for enterprises.

In 2003 he joined RedDot-The Open Text Web Solutions Group, where he served as Vice President of Product Marketing.Darren was instrumental in leading the growth of RedDot from a small start up to a global Web Content Management System (CMS) company. Similarly, at Sitecore, Darren’s responsibilities include Product Planning and Management, technical briefings with Analysts, Press, and major Clients, and Business Development and Alliances.

Darren has a Bachelor of Sciences in Computer Science from Oregon State University.
