Registration is FREE for participants from member companies of Ohio's Employee Owned Network; $50 for Non-members. Registrants will be invoiced by the OEOC.
This session will cover the important issues for those companies exploring the transition to S Corp status, and those who have recently made the transition. Topics covered are: tax benefits and issues; administrative issues before, during and after the transition; opportunities for growth that occur with S Corp status; and culture issues to maximize the benefit.

Mark Swanson is a Senior Manager, Benefit Plan Services, in the Columbus, Ohio office of  CroweHorwath LLP.  Prior to joining Crowe in 2008 he was with Nationwide Insurance where he held various positions in the Office of General Counsel and Human Resources.  With 20+ years in the retirement benefits field, his experience covers retirement plan administration, design, consulting, communications, legal and regulatory considerations and retirement benefit strategy.      



Mark obtained his law degree from Capital University Law School and Bachelors of Business Administration from Western Michigan University.  In addition to being an attorney, he holds the professional designations of Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and Certified Pension Consultant (CPC).  He's also active in and serves on the Board of the Central Ohio Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists and is a frequent speaker on various retirement benefit topics.
