Libraries should be engaged with their local social sector community. The social sector includes nonprofits, as well as grantmaking organizations and business enterprises with an explicit social purpose.
This free webinar will offer practical guidance on the best tools, training resources, and marketing tactics your library can use engage the social sector in your community. You will also hear examples of how librarians have implemented these tools and tactics in their libraries.

Previously, Kate worked as the e-resources librarian for Foundation Center West, and as a business librarian for an investment bank in Chicago. She discovered her passion for connecting people to resources that can help them succeed at a nonprofit residential treatment facility for young adults in Chicago, where she developed the in-house library/learning center.

Jennifer Beggans is Head of the Regional Foundation Center, Free Library of Philadelphia’s Business Resource & Innovation Center. Jennifer and her reference librarian provide resources and over 70 programs to Greater Philadelphia nonprofits each year. Previously, she ran the Paschalville Neighborhood Library in Southwest Philadelphia known for its Tie Library and began her career as a business librarian with the Free Library of Philadelphia.

Crystal is a librarian and trainer with a passion for program design and technology in publc libraries. She has worked on training projects with the Colorado State Library, Infopeople, the Urban Libraries Council, and the Public Library Association. In addition to her work at TechSoup, she is the founder of Kixal, where she creates transformative training experiences for staff in libraries and nonprofits.
