Jason Scott

Jason Scott is a Co-Managing Partner and on the Board of Directors of Encourage Capital. He was a co-founder of EKO and is a member of the Investment Committee of the EKO Green Carbon Fund. Prior to EKO, Jason was a founding Director and investment analyst at Generation Investment Management, co-founded by David Blood and former Vice President Al Gore, Jr. As its first employee, Jason helped build the firm and its first and second products, investing in global listed equities and climate change solutions respectively. Jason worked with Acumen Fund, Flatiron Future Fund/Foundation and New Philanthropy Capital. Previously, Jason helped found and build Public Allies, a youth and community development organization. Jason graduated from Duke University cum laude and has an M.B.A. with honors jointly from Columbia and London Business Schools.



Marc Robert

Mr. Robert is Chief Operating Officer at Water Asset Management with responsibility for business development.  He has spent over 25 years in the equity investment industry. Prior to joining Water Asset Management LLC, he was managing director at Morgan Stanley and head of U.S. equity research sales. Mr. Robert managed 95 salespeople in 10 offices, providing equity research, capital markets products, prime brokerage services, derivatives, and swaps to 500 institutional investors. While at Morgan Stanley, Mr. Robert was a member of the Equity Capital Commitment Committee, North American Equity Management Committee, and the Equity Research Stock Selection Committee. Prior to that, Mr. Robert spent 15 years in Europe (London and Paris) as an institutional salesperson for both U.S. and European equities at Morgan Stanley and PaineWebber. Mr. Robert graduated from Brown University in 1982 with a BA in Religious Studies.


Dr. Upmanu Lall

Dr. Upmanu Lall is the Director of the Columbia Water Center and the Alan and Carol Silberstein Professor of Engineering at Columbia University. He is a world-renowned expert in statistical and numerical modeling of hydrologic and climatic systems and water resource systems planning and management. He has pioneered statistical methods and their application to the prediction of hydrologic and climate conditions, and advanced tools for decision analysis and risk management.  Dr. Lal also recently directed the three year study  with Norges Bank Investment Management to quantitatively assess water and mining risks and their financial implications.
