Join the February 2016 NTCA Webinar to hear the latest Coverings 2016 news from the show's Industry Ambassador Alena Capra and NTCA Technical Trainer Michael Whistler. Capra will discuss the latest trends in tile and stone products and offer attendees a sneak peek at some of the innovative products that will debut in Chicago this April. Capra will also share must-know details about 2016 show programming and activities, including the Installation Design Showcase. Whistler will tease you with a short technical presentation on “Failures”. One of the many programs being presented at Coverings 2016.

Alena Capra

Alena Capra is an interior designer with over 13 years experience in the industry, and the owner of Alena Capra Designs, a full service interior design firm based in Dania Beach, Florida. Ms. Capra is a graduate of the University of Miami and the Metropolitan Institute of Design. She carved her niche in the design world by initially focusing her efforts on two areas of the home – the kitchen and bath. This passion for kitchen and bath design propelled Alena to become both a Certified Kitchen and Certified Bath Designer with the National Kitchen and Bath Association early on in her career. Eventually, her design experience evolved into designing full interiors for homes throughout South Florida and New York, as well as many commercial projects.
 
 
 

 


Michael Whistler

Michael Whistler his career in the tile industry as a green helper in San Diego, CA. His apprenticeship to Journeyman installer came in due time. Michael moved to Montana and opened a contracting business that grew to over 50 employees. Upon joining the NTCA, his company became more professional and profitable. Michael eventually became a NTCA Board of Director. He passed his knowledge to his employees and his business prospered. In 2009 Michael became a part-time presenter for the NTCA. He is now a full time staff member as a Technical Trainer and presenter in the Western USA.
