Webinar Series: Is Your Organization Conversation Ready?
Session 3 || Steward: Achieving the Reliability of Allergy Information
Did you know that 90 percent of people surveyed think it's important to talk about their wishes for end-of-life care, but less than 30 percent have done so? One in five Medicare beneficiaries spend seven (7) or more days in ICU/CCU during the last six months of life, the 2nd highest in the country.* As Florida health care organizations become more patient and family centered, having these conversations can make all the difference. FHA and IHI are excited to help health care systems facilitate end-of-life discussions with this six-part Webinar Series: Is Your Organization Conversation Ready?
Structured around the aims of The Conversation Project - an initiative to ensure every person's wishes for end-of-life care are expressed and respected - the virtual training teaches the five principles of Conversation Ready and educates organizations how to be ready to receive, record and respect those wishes for every individual, every time.
This initiative is funded by the MTC FHA HIIN, and is open to those participating hospitals and to FHA member hospitals along with stakeholders in their communities.
