Presentation Objectives:

By the end of this presentation, attendees will be able to:

  • Explain the barriers to patients being referred, evaluated, or listed for transplant.
  • Identify processes to minimize barriers to transplant referral.
  • Evaluate if the new processes increased the number of patients waitlisted for transplant.

Courtney Rodgers, LCSW

Courtney Rodgers, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 10 years’ experience with inpatient, acute and outpatient chronic dialysis settings. Ms. Rodgers graduated from Columbia University with her master’s degree in social work in 2005. She currently works at Fresenius Medical Care City Center, New York, New York, which provides both in-center dialysis and home therapies. There, she works on building relationships and collaborating with local transplant centers in order to assist patients seeking transplants.
