The first webinar in a three-part series, Introduction to Public Health Laws for PHAB Accreditation, provides attendees a high-level overview of PHAB Domain 6, Enforce Public Health Laws, an introduction to public health laws, including statutes, regulations, MOUs and more. Robin Wilcox from PHAB provides an introduction to Domain 6 and tips on meeting PHAB’s requirements. Matthew Penn from CDC’s Public Health Law Program discusses the Five Essential Public Health Law Services and legal solutions for states. To conclude the webinar, staff from the Utah Department of Health share their Domain 6 journey, including the roles and responsibilities of key health agency staff and others involved.
This 3-part webinar series, hosted by the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials, (ASTHO) with the support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Center of State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support (CSTLTS) will guide state health agencies on meeting the requirements of Domain 6: Enforcing Public Health Laws. This webinar series is intended for health agency leadership, accreditation staff, health agency legislative liaisons, health agency attorneys, state legislatures, and others involved in the development, education, revision, monitoring, compliance, and enforcement of public health laws.
