Meeting Description:
William Schaffner MD, National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) Medical Director, and Susan Even, MD, Executive Director of the University of Missouri Student Health Center, will discuss the burden of meningococcal disease, immunization coverage rates, current recommendations for meningococcal vaccination, and an overview of recent cases on US college campuses.
 
The webinar will also feature a panel discussion including representatives from colleges that have experienced recent meningitis outbreaks. They will share their experiences, best practices, and lessons learned about related prevention, mobilization, and campus health communications and educational efforts. The webinar will highlight new NFID educational tools and resources, including a public service announcement, to support awareness efforts in college communities.
