Meeting Description:
NFID Medical Director, William Schaffner, MD, will be joined by Edward E. Walsh, MD, Professor of Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, to discuss the hidden annual epidemic of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) among older adults in the US.
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
  • Describe the epidemiology of RSV
  • Discuss the clinical presentation and outcome of RSV infection in older adults
  • Explain RSV diagnostic challenges
  • Summarize RSV treatment and prevention strategies
