Heather is a licensed Nutrition and Dietetic Technician who is passionate in serving those with special dietary needs and is an advocate for increased public health awareness and transparency in the food industry. In addition to accommodating those with special dietary needs in the clinical environment, Heather has worked very closely with community programs such as Meals on Wheels, the Supplemental Food and Nutrition Program, the Family Nutrition Education Program, and the Capital Area Food Bank to increase awareness and availability of nutritious food for those who have nutrition-related concerns.
 
Currently, Heather works with Kitchens with Confidence by MenuTrinfo to perform allergen audits for college dining services and other foodservice establishments. Heather also provides allergen and celiac training through AllerTrain by MenuTrinfo, and works closely with clients and manufacturers to establish allergen controls throughout the supply chain.
