Deborah Mitchell (dmitchell@bus.wisc.edu) is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing and the Executive Director of the Center for Brand and Product Management at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, phone (608) 770-0502.  With a Ph.D. in Marketing and Behavioral Science from the University of Chicago she has held faculty positions at Wharton, Stanford University Graduate School of Business and the Johnson Graduate School of Management (Cornell)—and published in the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology and Journal of Advertising.  As a consultant she has worked closely with industry leaders including Time-Warner, CNN, Bristol Meyers Squibb, General Motors and Syngenta,  building and managing brand-based change initiatives.  In 2007 she created a retail-focused extension of the University of Wisconsin Executive MBA, called the Manager’s Program, in collaboration with corporate partner and leading retailer Kohl’s, Inc.
