Eric's personal mission is to serve, teach and lead so that the health, leadership abilities, and personal development of others are strengthened. He has been employed with the EIU health service since 1996. Eric currently is a national volunteer with The BACCHUS Network as the Illinois State Coordinator, serves as Secretary of the American College Health Association's Health Promotion Section, served as the 2007 President of the Illinois Society for Public Health Education, and is a member of the American College Health Association's Alcohol and Drug Task Force. His research interests include: sleep quality and quantity and its effect on academic success/performance in college students, health behaviors and their impact on collegiate academic success, effective substance abuse and sexual health education interventions for college students, and collegiate peer education efforts.
