WHYB presents "An Intro to the Critical Aggression Prevention System"

Meeting Description:

Predicting and Preventing Violent Behavior:
An Introduction to the Critical Aggression Prevention System (CAPS)

When OSHA changed their regulations requiring hospitals to put in place a Workplace Violence “Prevention” Program, FHA began actively seeking an evidence-based solution. How can you otherwise reliably demonstrate workplace violence “prevention” without an evidence-based solution?

We Have Your Back (WHYB) provides education, tools and resources providing evidence-based Worker Safety Strategies. Now WHYB can bring the same evidence-based strategies to your Workplace Violence Prevention Program.

This one-hour webinar offers hospital personnel an opportunity to better understand the Critical Aggression Prevention System (CAPS) and how and why this scientifically-validated, and evidence-based method can reliably prevent bullying, harassment, abuse and violence. Using methods cited by the U.S. Secret Service and the FBI, the ability to prevent violence is predicated on identifying a person who is on a pathway to violence.

Target Audience: FHA member hospital executives, department directors/managers, human resources, security, risk managers, safety, facilities management/engineers, supervisors and front line staff. Because CAPS uses human indicators and skills, any hospital employee will benefit by gaining this knowledge.

This webinar will be recorded and a replay link will be available on the FHA Workforce Safety webpage under Educational Archives.

Continuing Education: FHA is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Florida State Board of Nursing under Provider No. NCE2972. Eligibility for CEUs requires submission of an evaluation survey for each participant requesting continuing education. Licensed Florida nurses will receive a certificate of participation for 1.0 hour of continuing nursing education.
