Meeting Description:

The Division of Viral Hepatitis at CDC is interested in your ideas and feedback as they plan their national education campaign.  The campaign’s focus is on educating providers and consumers about chronic hepatitis B and C, and increasing the identification of those who don’t know they are infected.  Hear about DVH’s plans and join the discussion to improve this effort.  All are invited, including CBOs, non profits, health departments and others working in viral hepatitis prevention and control.

Cynthia Jorgenson, DrPH

Dr. Cynthia Jorgensen works at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where she is the Lead for Communication, Education and Training in the Division of Viral Hepatitis.  Prior to joining the hepatitis division, Dr. Jorgensen has also worked in the Division of Cancer Prevention and Control.  Prior to that, Dr. Jorgensen worked in HIV/AIDS prevention on many of the federal government’s early AIDS education and training efforts.  Dr. Jorgensen has also been an adjunct assistant professor at Emory University School of Public Health for the last 20 years.  She is a Past President of the national Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), and a Past Chair of CDC’s Behavioral and Social Sciences Working Group.
