This webinar will focus on increasing awareness and understanding of the All of Us Research Program, led by the National Institutes of Health, and a cornerstone of the larger Precision Medicine Initiative. All of Us is an ambitious effort to gather data from one million or more people living in the United States, reflecting the broad diversity of this country. The program will be open to both people who are healthy or sick, from all communities. Dara Richardson-Heron, MD, Chief Engagement Officer for the All of Us Research Program will describe the program and provide perspective on its importance. Participants will form a longitudinal research cohort intended to improve our ability to prevent and treat disease based on individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and biological make-up. Unlike a single research study focused on a specific disease or population, All of Us will serve as a national resource for thousands of studies, covering a wide variety of health conditions. Physicians, and other health care providers and health care team members, are viewed as valued partners in helping to ensure the eventual success of this program.
