Meeting Description:

Virtually every library provides technology training in one form or another. How can we work together to share resources and ideas with one another?

Join our webinar on Tuesday, December 11 at 11 a.m. Pacific time to hear out about existing resources that allow libraries and nonprofts to share their technology training expertise with one another.

From ABLE to WebJunction, hosts Brenda Hough and Stephanie Gerding will take you on a tour of a web places and virtual spaces that exist to make training better. Guests will be invited to share their favorite resources, too.

Brenda Hough

Brenda has been a librarian for more than 15 years. She has delivered training and education for the Northeast Kansas Library System, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, WebJunction, the Public Library Association, Emporia State University, UIUC's Certified Public Library Administrator program, and more. When she's not thinking about libraries and learning, she's spending time with her husband and two year old son at their home in Lawrence, Kansas.

Stephanie Gerding

Stephanie Gerding is a librarian, author, and trainer with professional experience working with libraries, non-profit, and government organizations. Stephanie plans and conducts training for thousands of participants around the world in grants, technology, train-the-trainer, digital literacy, planning, advocacy, and leadership areas. She has managed statewide training programs at New Mexico and Arizona State Libraries, worked as a library trainer for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, taught graduate-level online courses, and is a certified trainer for the Public Library Association. 

Stephanie is an author of three books, including The Accidental Technology Trainer and Winning GrantsShe works as a Training and Outreach consultant and Webinar Program Manager for TechSoup. She lives in Seattle, WA with her husband and charming five year old daughter.
