Trayak has recently released an update to the lifecycle inventory (LCI) datasets used within the program for calculating the environmental profile of packages. These data updates will allow COMPASS users to create better packaging models and get more accurate calculations based on the latest published research.
Other enhancements include:
- The ability to model PCR content in additional materials like Polypropylene (PP), Low-density polyethylene (LDPE), and linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE).
- Improved carbon footprint calculations based on the latest IPCC GHG factors from their latest guidelines
- Enhanced End of Life (EOL) scenarios from the latest published research for U.S., Canada, and the European Union
- The ability to model packaging scenarios that are manufactured and sold in various global regions - now including China and Mexico.
