            What better time to learn about professional engineering licensure than during National Engineers Week! This ASCE eLearning webinar will describe the step-by-step process to professional licensure and will cover the basics of the FE and PE examinations relevant to civil engineering students and graduates. The speakers will convey the value of licensure to students and younger members as you make important decisions about the direction you want your careers to take. They will cover changes in the examination and licensure process that are now in effect. In addition, several professionals at nationally recognized firms reveal how licensure has played a role in their success.

Lesley Rosier-Tabor, P.E.
 

 Lesley Rosier-Tabor, P.E., is the Executive Director of the West Virginia State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers. In this role, she is responsible for all regulatory, administrative, and fiscal operations of the Board. Prior to taking this position in June of 2002, Lesley served as an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at West Virginia University Institute of Technology (WVIT) in Montgomery, WV. Lesley is a Civil Engineering graduate of WVIT, with her Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from West Virginia University, and is licensed in West Virginia. Lesley serves on various National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying committees and task forces involving important issues of professional engineering licensure and registration. She has been an active member of ASCE for over 25 years, has served on numerous national committees, and has served in all elected leadership roles of the ASCE WV Section.


Timothy L. Miller, P.E.
 

Timothy L. Miller, P.E., is director of Exam Development Services at the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). In this role, Miller oversees the development and scoring of all engineering and surveying examinations used for professional licensure in the United States and its territories. Miller also oversees the production of NCEES examinations, study guides, and exam administration publications.

Prior to being named director in 2007, Miller was an exam development engineer for NCEES, coordinating the development of Principles and Practice of Engineering (PE) exams in environmental, mechanical, metallurgical, and control systems engineering. Before joining NCEES, Miller was an engineering consultant and project manager for more than 20 years. Miller is a civil engineering graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and is licensed in South Carolina.
