Portfolios and Dashboards: Leveraging data for student success

Meeting Description:
With advances in technology, the use of data in student portfolios and dashboards are becoming more prevalent in medical education.  These can be useful for students and their own self-assessment and reflection, as well as provide a tool for coaches to discuss and help students create action plans to support their education and development. An equally important use is for the program to assess their educational goals and continuous quality improvement.
At the end of this webinar you will be able to:
Define the users of student portfolios and dashboards in academic medicine
Utilize the student portfolio to document progress on achieving competencies
Create individual learning plans for coaching sessions to aid students in improving areas of deficiencies identified from the portfolio
Utilize data views from dashboards for informing leadership, course directors and students on real-time progress
