Laurie Hommema, MD, is currently a Program Director at Riverside Family Medicine, OhioHealth in Columbus, OH. Dr. Hommema received her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.
Serving on the Riverside President’s Advisory Council, OhioHealth Primary Care Council, and OhioHealth Physician Leadership Team, Dr. Hommema is an active presence in administration at Riverside and within OhioHealth. She is the co-chair of the OhioHealth Resilience Collaborative, has been studying burnout in residents at Riverside since 2011, and is on the steering committee for Practitioner Health and Wellness.
Also the co-creator of WE LEAD, an OhioHealth business resource group dedicated to developing female leaders, she is dedicated to creating culture of inclusion and wellness at OhioHealth.
