In this webinar, Laurie Hommema, MD, will discuss the differences between personal and system drivers of physician burnout, and mitigation techniques for both. The webinar will help programs and institutions build a culture of well-being while approaching well-being from a systematic standpoint. 
Webinar attendees will be able to:
  • Identify drivers of burnout in physicians
  • Define a culture of wellness in your institution
  • Build an action plan for your institution to address well-being on both the local and system level

Laurie Hommema, MD, is currently a Program Director at Riverside Family Medicine, OhioHealth in Columbus, OH. Dr. Hommema received her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at Riverside Methodist Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.
Serving on the Riverside President’s Advisory Council, OhioHealth Primary Care Council, and OhioHealth Physician Leadership Team, Dr. Hommema is an active presence in administration at Riverside and within OhioHealth. She ithe co-chair of the OhioHealth Resilience Collaborative, has been studying burnout in residents at Riverside since 2011, and is on the steering committee for Practitioner Health and Wellness.  
Also the co-creator of WE LEAD, an OhioHealth business resource group dedicated to developing female leaders, she is dedicated to creating culture of inclusion and wellness at OhioHealth
