Please join us for our next phPIN webinar entitled “Using QI Impact Boards to Communicate Successes in Continuous Quality Improvement (QI)” on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 4-5pm ET. Our presenters will be Christina Hayes and Kristin Preihs, from Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center in Illinois. They will be illustrating how agencies can use QI Impact Boards to communicate QI efforts and how they are also an effective tool to help build a culture of continuous quality improvement. The participants will learn how to efficiently and effectively communicate quality improvement successes both internally and to external partners. The presenters will describe how Lake County transitioned from using story boards to infographics to create a simpler, more relatable, and visually appealing communication tool.

Kristin Preihs, MPH, CQIA, CHES

Kristin L. Preihs serves as Continuous Quality Improvement Manager at Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center in Waukegan, Illinois. In her role, Kristin coordinates organization-wide efforts to ensure that performance management (PM) and quality improvement (QI) efforts are developed using a data-driven focus that sets priorities for improvements aligned to strategic imperatives. Preihs aims to build capacity to improve performance, resource allocation, and integrate public health as well as healthcare practice to impact health outcomes through providing leadership, technical assistance, and consultation. In addition, Kristin currently serves as a NACCHO ASI mentor, volunteers for a local health system research institutional review board and provides guidance to local businesses on improving customer experience through process improvements. 

Christina Hayes, MPH, CQIA

Christina Hayes is the Continuous Quality Improvement Analyst at the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center in Waukegan, Illinois. Her work focuses on organization-wide quality improvement efforts, promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement, and providing training and resources to assist employees in making data driven decisions. Christina became a Certified Quality Improvement Associate through the American Society for Quality in 2017. She has over seven years of experience in the field of Public Health and earned her MPH in Health Services Management and BS in Community Health from Northern Illinois University.
