I am pleased to invite you to participate in the launch of our Zero Emission Vessels 2030 study, which is part of our Low Carbon Pathways 2050 series released in 2016.
In our previous report, Low Carbon Pathways 2050, we showed that, to achieve an absolute reduction in CO2 emissions in line with the Paris Agreement, Zero Emission Vessels (ZEVs) need to be entering service by 2030 but the question we are increasingly asked is ‘how are we going to achieve this in practice?’
Lloyd’s Register in collaboration with our partners University Marine Advisory Services (UMAS) will present the findings of our study which aims to demonstrate the viability of Zero Emission Vessels: identifying the drivers that need to be in place to make them a competitive solution for decarbonisation.
There will be an opportunity for questions and answers after the presentation.
We have two sessions available, at 08:30 and 14:30 GMT.
