NCOA Age+Action Conference: What is a Hill Visit Anyway and Why is it Important?

Please find a copy of the slides and a recording of the webinar here

Meeting Description:
As part of NCOA’s Age+Action Conference in June 2019, we are organizing an optional Hill Day for those attendees who would like to take the opportunity to meet with their elected officials while in Washington, DC. Hill Day offers a chance to educate policymakers about your the important work you are doing and how you’re helping to positively impact improve the lives of constituents.
We often receive questions or concerns from grantees about participating in Hill Day—whether it’s permitted if your agency receives federal funding (it generally is if it’s education and not lobbying), what you can/cannot say to elected officials, and how to go about scheduling appointments with your Representatives and Senators.
Join NCOA’s Public Policy team on this informational webinar  to talk about Hill Day: what it is, what it isn’t, who can participate, and the support available from NCOA to those who may be interested in setting up meetings.
