Paul Foster Johnson is the Executive Director for the Institutional Review Committee (IRC). In this role, he manages all communications related to the accreditation of sponsoring institutions, provides information and guidance in institutional accreditation processes, and serves as a resource for understanding ACGME requirements.
Before arriving at the ACGME, Paul served as Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. To promote continuous improvement in Mount Sinai's sponsored programs, he created new educational resources, improved institutional engagement with sponsored programs, and established common educational quality standards. Paul is a past recipient of the ACGME Institutional Coordinator Excellence Award.
Paul holds an undergraduate degree in English from SUNY-College at Geneseo, and a MFA degree in Creative Writing from Brown University. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
