Vaccines for Preteens and Teens: The Importance of Timely Vaccination for All Adolescents


Meeting Description:
To coincide with 2016 National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM), NFID is sponsoring a webinar focused on the importance of routine adolescent immunization. The webinar is designed to reach a wide range of healthcare professionals to help them deliver empowering and impactful messages to patients and parents about the importance of protecting all adolescents from preventable cancers, meningitis, and other serious diseases.
At the conclusion of the webinar, participants will be able to:
§  Understand the rationale for US adolescent vaccination recommendations
§  Identify gaps in current US adolescent coverage rates
§  Describe the risks associated with missing recommended adolescent vaccines
§  Discuss ways to increase adolescent vaccination rates and improve adolescent vaccine uptake
Continuing Medical Education (CME)
The National Foundation for Infectious Diseases (NFID) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. NFID designates this enduring material for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE)
The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE).
