Even though there may be occasional deficits, or periods of tight cash flow, these characteristics are good signs your organization will be financially healthy over the long term.

Lu is a former Thai/Chinese restaurant owner turned banker turned Loan Officer and Financial Specialist at NAF. He immigrated to the US in 1976 when he and his family were sponsored by St Michael Lutheran Church in Richville, MI. Over the last 18 years, he has served on the Board of Directors for several nonprofits and used his financial savvy to help entrepreneurs and nonprofits achieve their goals. Lu is passionate about helping nonprofits improve the quality of life, particularly in underserved communities. A “not-so-silent” nonprofit partner, Lu loves providing financial advice and technical assistance in accessible and easy-to-understand terms. Lu is currently the treasurer and Board of Trustees at Concordia University St Paul.
