This session will include an overview of a new AdoptUSKids program called the Minority Professional Leadership Development (MPLD). MPDL is an eight month fellowship to increase the leadership competencies of minorities in the field of adoption related to practice, research, and policy through structured courses, on-the job experiences, and peer-to-peer learning. MPLD will also work to build a sustained network of transformational minority leaders in the field of adoption with knowledge of methods to use and establish evidence in adoption programs. Join us and learn about this exciting program and how you can help provide feedback on the construct of this initiative, support the recruitment of fellows, identify adoption experts that could be good resources as speakers. Join us for this presentation by AdoptUSKids followed by a facilitated discussion with leaders in adoption.
NOTE: The Child Welfare Leadership Series is a quarterly session for leaders in adoption that is offered exclusively to AEA members. To learn more about joining AEA please visit our website: www.adoptea.org/joinAEA
