As is our custom every year around this time, IIA's December Office Hours will focus on our 2013 Predictions for Analytics. Director of Research, Tom Davenport, will moderate this live teleconference along with IIA's world-renowned faculty group.


First, we'll review how accurately we predicted a year ago as we forecasted for 2012. Then, Tom and the faculty will present what they expect to see in 2013. Topics will include trends in talent and organizational leadership, leading and lagging analytics technologies, and how certain industries and organizations are creating huge competitive advantage through the use of analytics.

Tom’s Competing on Analytics idea was recently named by Harvard Business Review as one of the twelve most important management ideas of the past decade and the related article was named one of the ten must read articles in HBR’s 75 year history. Published in February 2010, Tom’s related book, Analytics at Work: Smarter Decisions, Better Results, was named one of the top fifteen must reads for 2010 by CIO Insight.
