Meeting Description:
Considering transplantation can be challenging and stressful. In addition to your questions and concerns, you may experience many emotions when your doctor begins discussing transplant as an option. During this webinar, Allyson Rupp and Sheri Lusk will discuss the emotional impacts of undergoing a transplant evaluation, the psychological impacts of receiving a transplant and answer questions about coping during the transplant process.

Sheri is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She has been working as a medical social worker for over ten years, but only recently began working with people who have PAH in June 2011. She has worked with a number of PH patients who have gone through the transplant process and understands that it can be scary and overwhelming. She is also part of PHA's Transplant Committeee.

Allyson is the Vera Moulton Wall Center's licensed clinical social worker for the adult PH service. She supports PH patients and families through the diagnosis and education of PH and its treatments and facilitates the monthly PH support group for patients and caregivers. Before transitioning to focus primarily on the PH program, Allyson was the clinical social worker for both the adult PH program and the heart/lung transplant program.
