How Can We Measure Sexual Health? A Perspective from the Sexual Health Rankings Project

Meeting Description:

We have intricate and sophisticated ways to measure the presence of, or the absence of, sexually transmitted diseases, not to mention unintended pregnancy, contraception use, and intimate partner violence.  But how do we measure sexual health in ways that are not just the absence of disease?  The World Health Organization has a definition of sexual health that emphasizes wellness, accounts for the determinants of health, and encompasses human rights, sexual expression and identity, and sexual pleasure.

But how can that be measured? Join this webinar to hear a perspective from the Sexual Health Rankings project, delivered by Martin Downs, MPH, lead author and researcher of
Sexual Health Rankings, 2012.
