Propel Nonprofits is excited to launch the Nonprofit Infrastructure Grant Program. The program is a response to needs and opportunities identified by community organizations and leaders. Through leadership and advocacy from members of the Coalition of Asian American Leaders and others, Propel Nonprofits received a state appropriation to implement this program. We are honored to put these funds to good use in supporting the infrastructure and sustainability of small, culturally -led organizatins working to make Minnesota a more just community.

Mario is a firm believer in nonprofits’ ability to build and sustain a more just society. He’s been in the sector for nearly 20 years, and has served in numerous executive leadership and board roles – including executive director, vice president and chief operating officer, board chair, board vice chair, and multiple stints as board treasurer. He is excited to share what he’s learned leading organizations. He enjoys talking strategy; methodical operation plans and marketing campaigns; collective impact through collaboration; inclusive leadership development; and, paying for it all through sustainable business models.

Mario was asked to lead this capacity building program for Propel Nonprofits based on his experience leading a capacity building regranting program for the MN Department of Human Rights and his familiarity with administering state appropriations through executive agencies such as the Department of Employment and Economic Development.
