One method for increasing HIV/AIDS awareness is through targeted social marketing campaigns. The National Latino AIDS Awareness Day (NLAAD) is the Latino Commission on AIDS’s (the Commission) social marketing campaign implemented every October 15 to encourage HIV/AIDS awareness and testing in the Latino community. Besides a social marketing campaign, NLAAD is also a capacity building endeavor aiming to improve the “health” of organizations that provide crucial community services.
